Hunter Safety Classes

The Chippewa Rod and Gun Club continue with its mission of introducing today’s youth to the outdoors by co-sponsoring DNR Hunter Safety training. Due to Covid-19 there will be no 2021 Spring Class led by Don Dukerschein and the Chippewa Area Hunter Education Program. Tentative plans are being made for a 2021 Fall class. The 2021 Hunter Ed classes led by Jody Olson and his team of instructors are planning for a 2021 Fall class as follows: Registration on Friday, July 30th at 6:30 pm; class dates are: August 9, 10, 12, 16, 17, and 19, 6:00 – 8:30 p.m. Saturdays: August 14 and 21. A Basic Bow Hunter Education class is scheduled for September 13 and 14, 6:00 – 8:30 pm. Please call Jody Olson at (715) 226-2855 for more information.


Don Dukerschein and the Chippewa Area Hunter Education Program will provide a DNR Hunter Education program in August. Class dates and times will be as follows: Orientation – August 12 from 7:00-8:00 p.m. at the Courthouse. Three classes will be held at the Chippewa Rod and Gun Club – August 16, 17, and 19 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Three classes will be held at the Chippewa County Public Firearms Range – August 23, 24, and 26 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. The Field Tests and Written Exam will be August 28 from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Public Firearms Range.
