Hunter Safety Classes

The Chippewa Rod and Gun Club continue with its mission of introducing today’s youth to the outdoors by co-sponsoring four DNR Hunter Safety Classes. The classes will be filled on a first come basis.


The class is co-sponsored by the Chippewa Rod and Gun Club and the Chippewa Bowhunters Club. The fee for the class is $10.00 per student. Pre-registration is required.


The 2024 Spring Class led by Don Dukerschein will be offered starting on March 21 and continuing on March 25, April 2, 4, 8, 9, and 11 at the Old Hallie Town Hall, 13033 30th Ave, Chippewa Falls. Classes are from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Field Test and Graduation will be at the Wilcox Sportsman Club, 24550 67th Ave, Cadott on April 13 from from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm. Jody Olson will offer a class starting on April 15 and continuing on April 16, 18, 22, 23 and 25 at the VFW Post 1038, 16939 Co Hwy J, Chippewa Falls. Classes are from 6:00 pm. to 8:30 pm. The Field Test and Graduation will be at the Wilcox Sportsman Club, 24550 67th Ave, Cadott on April 27 from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. The 2024 Fall class led by Jody Olson will offer a class starting on August 5 and continuing on August 6, 8, 12, 13, 15, at the VFW Post 1038, 16939 Co Hwy J, Chippewa Falls. Classes are from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm. The Field Test and Graduation will be at the Wilcox Sportsman Club, 24550 67th Ave, Cadott on August 17 from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. Classes are from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The Field Test and Graduation will be at the Wilcox Sportsman Club, 24550 67th Ave, Cadott on August 24 from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm. Students completing one of the classes above can also receive their DNR Bowhunting Safety Certification by completing DNR Bowhunting Safety classes on Monday and Tuesday, April 29 and 30 or August 26 and 27 from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm at the Chippewa Bowhunters Range. The fee for this class is $10.00 per student. Details will be available at the DNR Hunter Safety Classes.
