Hunter Safety Classes

The Chippewa Rod and Gun Club continue with its mission of introducing today’s youth to the outdoors by co-sponsoring DNR Hunter Safety training.


We will co-sponsor two DNR Hunter Safety Classes in the Spring of 2017. The classes will be filled on a first come basis so be sure to register early.


Names are being taken for the Spring DNR Hunter Safety Classes. Contact either Don Dukerschein (715) 723-0639 or Jody Olson at (715) 226-2855. Both classes are co-sponsored by the Chippewa Rod and Gun Club and the Chippewa Bowhunters Club. The fee for the class is $10.00 per student.


The Spring Class led by Don Dukerschein will be offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays on March 21, 23, 28, 30 and April 4 and 6 and the Field Test, Final Exam and Graduation on Saturday, April 8. Classes will be held at the Chippewa County Public Firearms Range in Tilden from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Contact Don at (715) 723-0639 for more information and to pre-register.


The second Spring Class will be led by Jody Olson and offered on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays starting April 17, 18, 20, 24, 25, 27 and the Field Test, Final Exam and Graduation on Saturday April 29. Classes will be held at the Chippewa County Public Firearms Range in Tilden from 6:00 – 8:30 p.m. Contact Jody at (715) 226-2855 for more information and to pre-register.


Students completing one of the classes above can also receive their DNR Bowhunting Safety Certification by completing DNR Bowhunting Safety classes on Monday and Tuesday, May 1 and 2 from 6:00 – 8:30 p.m. at the Range. The fee for this class is also $10.00 per student. Details will be available at the DNR Hunter Safety Classes.
